Incredible Video Showing An Isolated Amazon Tribe Trying To Make Contact With The Outside World
1 minute read
A recent film captured some members of an
uncontacted group at the Brazilian and Peruvian Border making contact
with outsiders. These individuals were carrying weapons and wearing
loincloths. The native group is identified as Rio Xinane. They are part
of Panoan Linguistic group. The Rio Xinane only wears loincloths. An
interpreter has to be used for communication purposes. The video
captures an Ashaninka man giving banana bunches to indigenous men. The
two men who receive the bananas are seen quickly retreating and
afterwards peel the bananas to ear.
Probably, the indigenous group has had
irregular or random contact with the outside world. This is evident
through a gun one particular is carrying. It is highly possible that the
tribe met head to head with loggers or drug traffickers. It is possible
that they stole the guns as well as other tools from the men. In the
video, the men are seen carrying spears, arrows, and bows. In the world
today, it is believed that approximately 100 uncontacted tribes exist.
77 of these tribes live in Brazil. All these statistics is according to
the Survival International Group.
