#Photos: Oscar Pistorius Arrives Court for Sentencing

Disgraced South African track star Oscar Pistorius arrived at the Pretoria High Court today for a sentencing hearing that will determine whether he serves jail time for the negligent killing of his girlfriend, or walks out a free man.


A stony-faced Pistorius stared straight ahead as police officers escorted him into the court building. Reuters reports that he declined to answer questions from the scrum of reporters but greeted his family inside the court with smiles and hugs.

Pistorius was found guilty of the culpable homicide of Ms Steenkamp last month but was cleared of murder. He faces up to 15 years in jail, although Judge Thokozile Masipa may suspend the sentence or impose a fine. A psychologist called by his lawyers testified today that Oscar Pistorius is a "broken man" after killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp because he lost the woman he said he loved as well as his reputation, friends, income and sense of self-worth.
