victory in its new video obtained by AFP on Sunday. The video shows

The 44-minute video also showed how Boko Haram passionately supports
other acclaimed caliphates, including the one announced in Iraq and
Syria by the Islamic State (IS) group. Shekau in the video which brought
out his full image, repeatedly dismissed claims of ceasefire talks with
the Federal government. The message being preached to the people was
taken up by a sermon from Shekau, delivered indoors but apparently
played on a speaker to locals assembled outside.“We have indeed
established an Islamic caliphate,” he said. “To everyone living in
Islamic Caliphate, we convey our greetings,” mentioning “brethren” in
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Shishan (an Islamist term for
Chechnya), Yemen, Somalia and “the Caliphate in Iraq and Syria,” as
those caliphates which will enjoy Boko Haram’s support. Speaking further
on the cease fire talks between Boko Haram and the Nigerian government,
Shekau said: ” There is no truce between me and Nigerian tyrants.” He
dismissed the credibility of Danladi Amhadu, the purported
negotiator.“This person Danladi… if he thinks he can, let him show his
face. By Allah, we will kill him,” the Islamist leader said. Watch the
