Former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has sympathised with the staff and students of University of Nigeria Nsukka over the tragic death of some students of the higher institution.

Following the closure of the school for the mid-semester break, the students, who were travelling home in a commercial bus, were reported to have been involved in a fatal accident along Nsukka-9th Mile Expressway on Tuesday.
In a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser, Kunle Oyewumi, Kalu said: “I was devastated when I heard the news of the demise of students of UNN who were travelling to their respective homes.
“It is saddening to lose our leaders of tomorrow in their prime.
“I feel pained that the youths died in such a circumstance.
“Our prayers and thoughts are with the bereaved families at this sorrowful moment.”
Kalu prayed to God for the repose of the departed souls and quick recovery for those hospitalized.
