Are You Seeing A DU Screensaver When Charging Your Android Device? Then You Need To Uninstall These Apps Right Now

Recently, there has been a malware outbreak on Android devices, this malware is usually in the form of an unwanted screensaver that takes over your screen to display ads when charging your devices. The DU screensaver  malware in question is either called Du Quick charge, DU battery boost, Du Battery charge and other DUs you can think of. Although it isn’t malicious, I was really angry when I saw it on my device some weeks back.

So what could be responsible? Apparently, the DU screensaver comes as a result of several app developers deliberately installing them to make some extra ad revenue. Pending the time Google fixes this, the only solution is to manually uninstall the apps. Now, thanks to the list compiled with the help of a Google Docs spreadsheet started by Reddit user phincone, you can see some of the apps causing this: 
I must point out that ES file explorer updated their app to remove the DU malware, but if you are still seeing it, you can either update it or go to Es Explorer,  Tools and disable charging boost. For Xender,  click on the little gear (Settings) icon in the top right corner, you will see an option to switch off the Xender Quick charge feature
