Following the current hardship in Nigeria and the downfall of the
nation's economy ever since President Muhammadu Buhari's APC led
government took over office, Muslim students under the aegis of Muslim
Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, said
Buhari’s government has brought frustration, hunger and joblessness on
Nigerians.
In a statement signed by president of the group, Saheed Ashafa, the
Muslim group said President Buhari’s government lacked direction and its
policies are inconsistent.
The group said the economic crisis in the Buhari’s government is hitting hard on all Nigerians, saying the situation requires a collaborative effort from all Nigerians to cushion the effect of the crisis.
According to the group, “government should decisively pick its policies and stop putting Nigerian masses at risk through its frequent trial and error economic policies”.
Ashafa, who is the Lagos branch president, said the current Nigerian government is frustrating, noting that the pains of Nigerians could be reduced by creating entrepreneurship opportunities for Nigerians.
The students called on Nigerian youths not to be demoralized by the present economic challenges facing the nation.
The group called on Nigerians to develop the attribute of a magnate and be ready to succeed in trying times.
