Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Renders Leak Before Official Launch
1 minute read
Even though
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be released early next month, leaked images
from Evan Bass have been circulating on the internet. The new phone will
come in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and the newly introduced Blue Coral
colors, but it’s likely that more colors will be released later.
The leaked renders from Evan Bass however missed a few details like the sensors for the iris scanner.
Olixar, a smartphone accessory maker hinted in its own leak that the
smartphone will have a USB Type-C port located at the bottom of the
handset as usual, a loudspeaker and S-Pen slot are placed on one side, a
headphone jack on the other and an iris scanner which will serve as an
alternative way to unlock the phone.

Due to the presence of the USB Type-C port, the Korean company might release a new Gear VR headset as the current ones can only be connected through micro-USB to Samsung phones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be the first Samsung smartphone to sport a USB Type-C port in the Note series. It is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, S-Pen stylus, a 12MP rear and 5MP front camera. It’s inbuilt storage is 64GB, 6GB of RAM and micro-SD cards are fully supported.
Two variants based on processors will be available. A model will
sport the company’s original Exynos 8893 chipset, while the other will
feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. The launch date remains August 2 in
New York.
