The much anticipated day happens to be today, 30th May, the day to remember the Biafran fallen heroes and heroines, 50 years after the declaration of Biafran nation, by the late Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

To observe the very remarkable day, the members of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, issued a sit-at-home order to all Biafran sympathizers and the core Biafran agitators.

But the order which extended to all the residents of the old eastern region, led to  the shut down every movement in the region, the state which is most affected are, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Delta and Rivers State.

In Aba, one can stand at the corner of each street and see the other end, which simply means the people of Aba observed the order to sit-at-home.

Banks are closed, Schools are shut down, Markets are locked down, no vehicular movement.
